"Warrawindi Farms"
A proud fifth-generation, 3000-acre regenerative farm, sustainably running sheep and cattle while nurturing the land for future generations
Warrawindi has been home to the Galpin family since the 1880s. Five generations of love, hard work, and deep connection to the land. Today, David and Alison Galpin proudly carry on the tradition. After marrying in 1987, they built a big, close family with six children and fourteen grandchildren, all living locally around Penola and some still calling the farm home.
It’s not unusual to see a handful of grandkids, or sometimes all of them, running around the property. Family is the heartbeat of Warrawindi, and there's never a day without laughter, little boots in the dirt, and stories being shared across generations.
Jordan and Mason, two of David and Alison’s sons, now work alongside them on the farm, with Mason’s partner Ben also joining the team. Together, they keep the spirit of Warrawindi alive, blending old knowledge with new ideas to care for the land and animals in the best way possible.
Sharing this special place with others has become a real passion for our family. We love welcoming people to Warrawindi, reconnecting them with the land, and showing them firsthand how much we care for our animals and environment. There's something powerful about seeing the joy and wonder on visitors' faces as they experience life on the farm.
Five years ago, we took a new step in our journey, moving towards regenerative farming. It was a natural choice, a way to give back to the land that has given us so much. Since embracing these practices, we’ve seen incredible results: healthier soils, thriving animals, increased fertility rates, and a noticeable drop in vet and health costs.
But more importantly, we’ve found even deeper satisfaction in our work. Watching our sheep and cattle roam happily across lush paddocks, knowing that the food we produce is as natural, wholesome, and healthy as it can be, fills us with pride every single day.
At Warrawindi, farming isn’t just a livelihood, it’s a way of life, a family story, and a connection we are honored to share with you.
